Hi, my name is Gilbert, and here is a quick history as to who I am.

I started collecting Firebird toys in 1979.  This was after the purchase of my new, blue 1979 Trans Am.

At first, I just wanted to have a few cars that looked like mine.  I bought a few, just once in a while, whenever I saw one I liked.  I was amazed at how many different brands, styles, and variations there were.  Then I looked at my old Red Line Hot Wheels from when I was a kid.  I was surprised to find a Custom Firebird, and Light My Firebird in my collection.

I'm not sure where or when it happened, but at some point I fell into the Collectors black hole.  Over the years, it became my goal to have the largest Firebird collection in the world.  My son and I went to toy shows here in California, and became regulars at all the stores.  Toys R Us, K-mart, Wal-Mart, Target, etc.  You name it, we went looking for toys.  Our vacations and my work schools always included going to stores looking for new finds.  So, how did we do??  Well, my collections now numbers in the thousands, including several hundred Red Lines in package.   I have many open cars, but have always tried to keep them in package, to preserve the true flavor of how they were new.  This has been more than a hobby for me.  It has become a labor of love, commitment, and dedication to the spirit of the Firebird Trans Am.  This has carried over to my real life, as we have a few real cars in the family now.

We have thirteen (13) Pontiac cars, including a 1969 Firebird 400, 1979 Trans Am, 1985 Trans Am Convertible, and a 2000 Trans Am.  I even have a site for my real cars, called

www.firebirdfever.com

Please enjoy the site, the toys, and email me with info on cars I have, ones you have that I don't, or cars you would like to sell me.  Thanks.
